How to fold a fitted sheet
Folding a fitted sheet can be a bit tricky at first, but with practice, you'll get the hang of it. Here's a step-by- step guide on how to fold a fitted sheet neatly:
-
Hold the Sheet Properly: Start by holding the fitted sheet with your hands placed inside two adjacent corners. Make sure the long, elasticized edges are on the inside and facing you.
-
Identify the Corners: Look for the two remaining corners opposite the ones you're holding. They should be on the other end of the elasticized edges.
-
Flip and Tuck: Take the corner in your right hand and flip it over the corner in your left hand. Now, tuck the corner in your right hand into the corner in your left hand. Essentially, you're folding one corner inside the other.
-
Straighten and Repeat Straighten out the sheet, so it forms a rectangle with the elastic edges tucked inside. Now, hold the sheet with your hands inside the two folded corners (the sheet should now have two corners with elasticized edges and two folded corners).
-
Flip and Tuck Again: Once more, take the corner in your right hand and flip it over the corner in your left hand. Tuck the corner in your right hand into the corner in your left hand.
-
Fold into a Square or Rectangle: Now, you can fold the sheet into a square or a smaller rectangle for easier storage. Simply fold it in half or thirds, depending on your preference and the size of your linen storage area.
-
Store Neatly: Place the neatly folded fitted sheet with your other linens or in a designated storage space.
Remember, practice makes perfect! It might take a few tries to get the hang of folding a fitted sheet neatly, but you'll eventually master the technique.
